The Ballroom Dance Club is a membership organization that hosts monthly big band ballroom dances for all dance enthusiasts regardless of age or ability.  The monthly dances are open to the public and are co-sponsored by the El Riad Dance Club.

Join Us For a Dance!

Attend the only Big Band Ballroom Dance in the area. Each month, a big band gets the crowd moving and shaking with ballroom dance music from the 40's, 50's and 60's.  All ages and abilities are welcome.

The fun begins with a beginning dance lesson at 6:45 pm to get you started on the dance floor. The band plays from 7:30 - 11:00 pm.

Swing is the most popular dance among the crowd but several others are danced as well.  They include: Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, Tango, 2-Step, Jitterbug and Polka.  This is a great opportunity to learn and experience these great social dances!

The El Riad Shrine offers a cash bar and popcorn for sale.   Join us for an experience you won't forget!

When:  Usually the 2nd Friday of each month
      6:45 pm lesson  and 7:30 -11:00 pm dance

Where: El Riad Shrine, 501 S Phillips,  Sioux Falls

Cost at the Door:  $14 per person
           $7 per student with student ID

Suggested Dress:  Business Casual to Dressy

Big Band Ballroom Dance Class

Learn to dance for the only Big Band Dance in town! Join instructors from the Ballroom Dance Club to learn Swing, Waltz, and Foxtrot so you can move to the beat at our monthly dances at the El Riad Shrine.

Class includes 3 weeks of instruction at Date Night Dance Company and entry to October's Masque Ball which includes another lesson in Rumba.
